Edit 2/28/2017: Yay, I finally got to shade it! It looks so much better now. :la:

Here's my entry for ZedEdge 's Franchise Remix Contest. If you've never heard of Franchise Remix, then I'd suggest checking it out; it's really cool!

Ugh, I ran out of time and didn't get to shade this before the deadline. I promise, I will shade it one day (because Sora's face is way too bright otherwise). For this contest, we were given six franchises to choose from, and I went with Kingdom Hearts and Dishonored. I've always been a fan of Kingdom Hearts (even though I've never really gotten to play the games), and I was recently introduced to Dishonored and its grungy atmosphere by my boyfriend.

For Sora's design, I took his outfit from Kingdom Hearts III and made it darker and more assassin-y. I think the hardest part of his design to incorporate was his iconic and tacky crown necklace. Since that bling didn't fit the world very well, I turned it into a pocket watch. In addition, I slimmed down his Keyblade and made it sharper and more deadly looking. I also came up with a KH version of the Outsider's Mark (which you can see here; I think it turned out pretty cool). Which that reminds me: Who do you think would be the Outsider in this world? I feel like the obvious choice would be Mickey.

Sooo, yeah. Enjoy some sneaky, crouching Sora, getting ready to say "Zoom" and Blink to somewhere else. :D

This shading update is magnificent! His whole color palette just got so much more rich - the yellow and blue glow from his Outsider Mark really complements his red look. I'm not sure if you used a textured brush, or added a texture afterwards, but the rough surface on everything is really cool - I would say that's rather unusual for a more anime-esque style like this - I love it!
